Terms & Conditions
These terms explain how wedding hair and makeup bookings are arranged. A personalised written booking agreement and quotation will confirm the services, date, prices and payment schedule for each client.
Important: Submitting an enquiry does not reserve your wedding date. Your booking is confirmed only when Beautifully Bridal accepts it and the agreed booking fee has been received. These terms are a draft for review before publication; statutory consumer rights always apply.
1. Bookings and payment options
For standard bookings, a 50% booking deposit is required, with the balance due no later than six weeks before the wedding. For bookings with a total value over £500, an optional flexible payment plan is available with a 30% booking deposit and agreed instalments. All instalments must be completed no later than six weeks before the wedding.
Booking deposits are described as non-refundable because the date is reserved and planning work begins. However, any sum retained following cancellation must be fair and proportionate to the business's actual loss and costs, in accordance with applicable consumer law.
2. Payment schedules and missed payments
Payment-plan instalments must be paid on their agreed dates. A reminder may be sent when an instalment is more than seven days overdue. If payment remains outstanding for more than fourteen days, Beautifully Bridal may consider suspending or cancelling the booking after giving appropriate notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue. Any sums retained or sought will be subject to applicable law and a fair assessment of loss.
3. Client cancellations
Cancellation requests should be made in writing. The following periods guide the assessment of a fair cancellation charge; they are not automatic fixed penalties:
- More than six months before the wedding: reasonable administration, preparation and proven losses may be deducted from payments made; any excess is refunded.
- Between six months and six weeks: a reasonable charge may reflect work completed, committed costs and loss of bookings, taking account of costs saved and any replacement booking.
- Within six weeks: a higher charge may be appropriate where the date cannot reasonably be refilled, but the full outstanding balance is not automatically due. Charges must remain proportionate to reasonable losses.
Any applicable statutory cancellation rights, including rights for contracts concluded at a distance or away from business premises, take precedence. Details of any relevant cancellation rights or exceptions will be provided as part of the individual booking process.
4. Artist cancellation
If illness, emergency or circumstances outside reasonable control prevent attendance, Beautifully Bridal will make reasonable efforts to offer a suitable replacement artist, subject to your agreement. If the agreed services cannot be supplied, refunds and any further remedies will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer law. Nothing here limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
5. Trials
Trial appointments are recommended. A trial booked on its own does not reserve the wedding date. Fees for trials already completed are generally not refundable, except where a statutory remedy applies. Trial arrangements and charges will be confirmed in advance.
6. Changes and postponements
Changes to services, numbers, timings, venues or dates must be requested in writing and are subject to availability. Changes within six weeks of the wedding cannot be guaranteed. A £25 administration fee may apply where reasonable, explained and agreed in advance. Reductions in services or postponements may require a revised quote and fair assessment of any losses.
7. Packages, small parties and travel
Package inclusions and individual service prices are listed on the pricing page and confirmed in your quotation. An additional bride-only fee of £100 or a small-party fee of £65 (bride plus one other person) applies where relevant. Travel is charged separately at 50p per mile for the full return journey; separate trial journeys may also be chargeable. Parking, tolls and any agreed necessary overnight accommodation are additional.
8. Client responsibilities
Please provide accurate booking information, disclose known allergies or sensitivities before services, and arrange a suitable workspace with lighting, power and seating. Delays or changes outside the artist's control will be discussed and managed reasonably. These terms do not exclude liability for negligence or any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Photography
Permission to use photographs for portfolio, website or social media purposes will be requested separately. Declining permission will not affect your booking.
10. Governing law and consumer rights
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Nothing in them removes or restricts statutory consumer rights.
